6 DIY Halloween Costumes

There's nothing worse than shelling out a bunch of cash for an ill-fitting, plastic Halloween costume that you'll probably only wear once. This year, why not opt for a real (and real cute) outfit that will take you beyond October 31st. We'll show you how to style 3 pieces that you probably already have in your closet, into 6 amazing DIY costumes.

1. Striped Tee

We all have one (or five) striped tees. One of our favorites? The Avery Top. Its bell sleeves can help transform you into the chic-est mime or the prettiest pirate.

Mime: Simple additions like white face paint, gloves, and a beret are necessities. Then, finish the look with dainty gold pieces and fun, red statement earrings!

Pirate: Aside from the pirate hat and eye patch, whimsical details are key to a good pirate costume. Plus, our Leyla Charm Necklace looks like a collection of lost treasures!

2. Rocker-Chic Top

An all-black ensemble for Halloween? Shocking! Ok, maybe not. But you can take it up a notch by opting for a top with cool metallic details like the Aria. It can easily take you from glam witch to glampire.

Witch: Opt for black, gunmetal, and silver jewelry. Don't forget the pointy hat and moody dark lipstick!

Vampire: The fake fangs and red lipstick are a must. Just like with the witch costume, dark, edgy jewelry is the icing on top of the cake!

3. Little Black Dress

No one questions the transformative powers of the LBD. This Halloween, simply switch up your accessories to take you from a party at Gatsby's to Breakfast at Tiffany's.

1920's: If the art-deco jewels and the fur shawl don't give it away, the Embroidered Blaire Necklace tied around your forehead will. Top off the look with some Old-Hollywood curls and a classic red lip.

1960's: String of pearls + black sunnies + hair in a top knot + a touch of Tiffany blue. Super easy, super chic!
